Reflexions'19 - A Reflection on "Tackling challenges of the VUCA World" !!

The Department of Industrial Management and Engineering, IIT Kanpur presented the flagship event of Prabandhan – Reflexions on Sept 28th, 2019. The 3rd edition of the event on ‘Tackling challenges of the VUCA world' was concluded with a promising and on a cheerful note. With thunderous applause and riveting questions, the event opened to bridge the corporate world with the real world. Reflexions 3.0 saw the participation of 6 eminent industry leaders and management gurus to share their experiences from their respective trades. Inauguration of the 8th edition of Prabandhan, the Annual management conclave of IITK

The 27th of September marked the beginning of the much awaited 8th edition of the Annual management conclave of IIT Kanpur, Prabandhan. The MBA students of IIT Kanpur, hosts to this event, gave a warm opening speech, introducing esteemed faculty Dr. Rahul Varman, Dr. Devlina Chatterjee and keynote speaker of the day Abhinav Johri. The conclave began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp followed by insightful speeches by Dr. Varman and Dr. Chatterjee. The event hosted Mr. Abhinav Johri, currently director and practice head at EY India as he spoke about Versatility and it's paradox in changing times. Prabandhan 2018 Event Report

The Department of Industrial Management and Engineering, IIT Kanpur hosted the 7th edition of prestigious annual management conclave, Prabandhan’18 organized by MBA students and ‘Maruti Suzuki- Way of Life!’ in association with powered by Business Standard, Insight Out, from 28th September’18 to 30th September’18. The three days comprising Prabandhan were a compilation of events ranging from fields of Marketing, HR, Finance, Analytics and Operations which provided a platform to students of numerous business schools to compete with each other in diverse fields. The days were also marked by the presence of industry bigwigs who helped guide students on manifolds of industry experiences. Mr. Amol Padhye has more than 16 years of experience in capital market risks management domain which includes: Market and liquidity risk, Bank credit assessment and limit setup, Bank credit rating modeling, Treasury, ALM, Enterprise risk management. It was our privilege to invite Mr Mahipal Nair, Chief Human Resource (South Asia/India) – Nielsen, for a guest lecture on Organizational health at MBA IIT Kanpur on 3 rd August 2019. Mr Nair has been associated with Nielsen since 2006 in various HR roles of increasing responsibilities. He is responsible for all people processes including leadership & talent development, transformation & change management. Mr Nair commenced the lecture by drawing a parallel between organizational health and human health. He extended the discussion by defining the factors, which affect human health, after bifurcating them as internal and external factors. Life @ IITK: Impressions 2018 Event Report

Impressions - The Annual PG Cultural Festival     1 st of April, 2018 is a day infamous for practical jokes. However, our MBA graduates definitely weren’t considering an immense amount of humour when they fought sweaty battles to create an audio-visual extravaganza that created waves across the entire IIT Campus. The night of the first belonged to the PG crowd at IIT Kanpur and the seats at OAT were filled upto the brim. The event, ‘Impressions ‘18’ saw dazzling performances, with the icing on the cake being various amazing attempts at singing, dancing, poetry and fashion walks. Second year MBA student Neha, a vital part of music jamboree sang to various tunes, while the 2 nd year students contributed with a stunning piece of a sequence of dances.
